What stands out
- The organization's own website identifies itself as 'Foundations Learning Center' (abbreviated FLC in its page titles and contact info), not 'Foundations in Learning' as listed on the source spreadsheet. (source)
- The homepage lists iLEAD and Granite Mountain as additional charter partners but marks both with an asterisk noting 'Vendors are still pending approval at these charter schools' as of 2026-10-09, so they were not included in the confirmed charter list above. (source)
- Classes meet inside Refuge Calvary Chapel's building in Huntington Beach; the About and home pages checked describe security measures (background-checked staff, cameras, alarm system) but do not state whether the curriculum itself is secular or faith-based. (source)
Questions to ask
- Has iLEAD or Granite Mountain charter approval been finalized since 2026-10-09?
- What is the per-class Class Fee for each subject (science, art, chess, Spanish)?
- Is the curriculum secular, or does meeting at a church building come with any faith-based content?
