South Bay Homeschool Club is built by a South Bay mom who's been part of the homeschool community here before and is now going through this same search: comparing pathways, checking which charters and programs actually reach families here, and writing down what held up to scrutiny. Homeschooling can feel like you're figuring it out on your own; this site exists so South Bay families doing the same search can find each other, and the same good information, together.

My husband and I are both engineers, and a love of STEM is part of why I built this: I grew up loving math, and I'm still in awe of what people can do together, through science and through faith. STEM matters for every child here, whatever your family believes.

Why does this site exist?

The information South Bay parents rely on today (forwarded spreadsheets, private Facebook groups) is scattered and mostly invisible to search engines and AI assistants. This site collects it in one place, dated and sourced, so it's findable and citable.

What are the ground rules?

• No paid placement, ever, in directory order or wording.
• Accuracy over completeness: "unconfirmed" beats a guess.
• Every claim that changes carries its own as-of date.
• Facts and sourced red flags, never rankings or "best/top/avoid" verdicts.

Who is this for?

A South Bay parent exploring homeschooling, usually with a child approaching kindergarten. It's information only for now; a parent community comes later. Sign up on the home page to hear when that starts.

The member area of the South Bay Cities Council of Governments: Carson, El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Lawndale, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Torrance; Harbor City/San Pedro/Wilmington; and nearby unincorporated county areas (Del Aire, Lennox, Alondra Park, West Carson).
