What stands out
- The source leads spreadsheet tags AWI as a 'South Bay, Orange County' program, but no South Bay or Orange County address appears anywhere on AWI's current site; its listed phone number is a 909 (Inland Empire) area code and its programs are organized into 'Southern California' and 'Northern California' pages, so whether it currently runs anything local to the South Bay is unconfirmed. (source)
- Is a registered 501(c)(3) with a large staff/instructor roster and multiple named programs (Redwood Raven School, Khulafa Al-Ard, Green Masjid Initiative), structured more like a multi-program nonprofit than a single storefront enrichment center. (source)
Questions to ask
- Does AWI currently run any in-person classes within the South Bay, or is the 'South Bay' tag on the source list outdated?
- What does the nearest program to the South Bay cost, and what ages does it serve?
- Does AWI accept charter instructional funds for any of its programs?
