What stands out
- Listed here as a district program because CVISS appears on CVUHSD's own site as one of its schools, but this has not been fully distinguished from a district-authorized charter; confirm program vs. charter status with the district before enrolling. (source)
- Serves roughly 100 students district-wide, per a secondary source (U.S. News); this figure was not independently confirmed on the district's own site. (source)
- Offers an Early College Program with dual-enrollment credit alongside standard independent study. (source)
Questions to ask
- What grade levels and ages does CVISS actually serve: is TK-8 available anywhere in the district, or only 9-12?
- What is the weekly time commitment and check-in schedule?
- Can families choose their own secular curriculum, or is coursework district-assigned?
