Key facts
| Ages | TK/K-12 (exact span not confirmed per grade band) |
|---|---|
| Location | Authorized by Acton-Agua Dulce Unified School District (Los Angeles County) per the school's own site |
| Cost | unconfirmed; Compass's own enrollment FAQ confirms instructional funds exist ('Half of the funds may be used during the first semester...') but does not state a dollar figure on the pages checked (as of 2026-09-17) |
| Schedule | Not confirmed |
| Enroll window | Rolling / capacity-based; the school's own enrollment page describes year-round admissions subject to capacity by charter and academic program, and is currently advertising enrollment for the 2026-27 school year. No lottery window or fixed deadline was found; the page's wording also appears dated (it references the 2017-18 school year). |
| Application deadline | None published; this charter uses rolling, capacity-based admissions rather than a fixed deadline or lottery. |
What this charter's funds can cover
Compass Charter Schools's own policy
Policy, no roster Compass's own site confirms instructional funds can cover instructional services, enrichment activities, curriculum, and other approved resources, chosen with a supervising teacher from a board-approved list. The current named vendor list itself is reachable through a public search tool we found but did not open. (source, as of 2026-09-25)

What stands out
- Authorizer: Compass Charter Schools operates multiple charters with different authorizers (Acton-Agua Dulce USD/LA County for the LA charter; Mountain Empire USD/San Diego County; Winters Joint USD/Yolo County). Only the Acton-Agua Dulce (LA County) charter qualifies under PM decision #2; the San Diego and Yolo charters do not.
- Enrollment: A previously cited Feb 26, 2026 deadline for this charter was wrong: it belonged to a different, Idaho-based "Compass Public Charter School" (compasscharter.org, singular), not California's Compass Charter Schools (compasscharters.org, plural, Acton-Agua Dulce USD authorizer). That figure has been removed.

“We've been to several homeschool charters, including Sky Mountain, CAVA and iQ Academy. I have to say that Compass Charter is the best we've been in. First of all, the support staff is fantastic.”
-
“Compass kicked my children out of school and had the police come to my home. They kicked my children out without any proper notice and didn't follow the procedure for this either.”
